Manchester United’s second-string continued their pre-season preparations on Tuesday evening with a goalless draw at Southport, watched by 675 spectators.
Warren Joyce’s men summer schedule kicked-off on the weekend with a 1-0 defeat at Bray Wanderers, and United’s youngsters again failed to find the target at Hague Avenue on Tuesday evening.
Bebe was once again one of the most recognisable names in United’s starting XI as the visitors dominated possession against the Sandgrounders, but could not break the deadlock.
21 players were once again utilised by Joyce, with Ulsterman Patrick McNair the only Red Devil to be involved for the full 90 minutes.
Ángelo Henríquez, who spent last season on loan at Royal Zaragoza, almost snatched victory for United in the closing stages, but United’s second XI wait on for the first goal of their pre-season.
