Brown Has 4 Games To Save His Job

Phil Brown has just 4 games to save his job according to reports in this weeks tabloids . Hull have continued their poor form for last season at the beginning of this, form which saw them stay in the premiership on the last day of the season after winning just one of their last 22 games. Hull have started this season poorly winning only 1 of their opening 6 games. Hull suffered a heavy defeat to Everton in mid week and following the 4-1 hammering certain parts of the media claim he could have just 4 matches to save this job starting with the game against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the fans been patient with Brown and the team as he got them to their highest position in years it seems they have had enough and and are no longer happy to be losing game after game .

Chairmen Phil Duffen has hit back at fans calling them 'pathetic' and 'despicable'. However how many other managers would still be empolyed after winning just 2 of 28 league games? it seems the board are happy to sit back and keep Phil in charge as long as the team remain in the premiership. However fans feel that we need a manager with proven premiership pedigree who can at least install some fighting sprit into the team as so far this season the performances have been toothless and lacking in quality and fight.

Duffen said
"It is pathetic. The Premier League season is six games in.

"The squad is good, this is a manager - and coaching staff - that has delivered this football to this city, that has proven he can take a side from the bottom of the Championship to the top of the Premier League.

"I think it is absolutely despicable that people go to a game of football and start shouting at the manager.

"I don't understand. I would have thought wanting the club to win and doing everything they can to help the club win is the main objective of every supporter."

Duffen insists sacking Brown is not even on the agenda, adding: "The only objective as far as I am concerned is to work as hard as I can to help the football club succeed.

"That doesn't mean when the going gets tough you start executing people, running around in panic mode.

"You keep your head, you work hard, and harder if possible, to support the club.

"Staying in the Premier League is our only objective but if we are going through a period when it is proving tough, all I would expect from anybody who supports the club is get behind it and support it."
