At the start of the season Everything began rosy and Hull fans were dreaming of Europe if not a top ten finish looked possible. Flying high after wins over Arsenal and Spurs everyone at Hull were happy as Larry. So where did it go wrong?. As lately Manager Phil Brown looks like he has lost the plot?. His tactical decisions lately seem to be inept and his substitutions negative and clueless .
After the win against Arsenal and Spurs Hull continued that fine form into their next 2 games against West Brom and West Ham. Then came two somewhat expected defeats against Chelsea and Manchester United. A home game against Bolton didn't go too well either as many fans thought it would be a victory it turned out to be a defeat however the team played well and only heroic goalkeeping by Jussi Jaaskelainen kept Hull from getting something from the match.Positives could be taken from all the games and no worrying signs were present in the games.
Then came a Run of 3 draws against Manchester City, Portsmouth and Stoke . Again not worrying results then came a win against Middlesbrough and another draw this time against Liverpool. Hull fans were upbeat and went into a game against Sunderland at home expecting it to be a close game. However Hull got beat heavily losing 4-1 and the defence looked all at sea. The 1st sign that their were serious problems came against Manchester City having been 4-0 down at half time , Phil Brown decided to do his half time team talk on the pitch!! This was a strange tactic and he was slated in some parts of the media . it didn't do much for Hulls forutnes as their went onto lose their next 4 league games.
Phil tried to change the Clubs fortunes by bringin in midfield reinforcements , Signing Jimmy Bullard and Kevin Kilbane. He also brought in Manucho upfront. However he let Dean Windass and Marlon King leave . King left after a reported bust up with Phil brown as he was left on the bench. King was Hull main goal threat up front and Dean Windass was a good experienced head to have around the club. Brown appeared to have forced both players out.
At the end of January came a little hope for Hull fans as their drew 2-2 with West Brom the draw left them 11th 5 points off the relegation places and some Hull fans began to look over their shoulders as the form had plunged The Tigers below half way. A 0-0 Draw with Chelsea left Hull fans thinking the team could once again be on the up . A defeat to Relegation Rivals Tottenham though left a small number of fans questioning if Phil Brown was thr right man to keep them up. Lack of attacking threat and playing 1 up front at home isn't a positive formation neither is bringing on a wide right player for a striker and sticking a left sided player up front. his substitutions against Spurs cost Hull a point In my opinion but managers are allowed to get it wrong sometimes.
A game against Blackburn was a chance for Hull to Pull clear of another Relegation rival. Things started Well But Hull were trailing 2-0 at half time having not been able to make their chances count. This is because we have a lack of quality up front and rely on Defenders and Midfielders to get us goals. In the second half Geovanni who in my opinion was one of Hull's best players going forward in the 1st hald was taken off! much to the annoyance of the player and parts of the crowd. Dean Marney was also sent off !
The Run of form which has seen Hull go nearly 3 months without a win has left them in 13th place and only 3 points off the relegation places . More worrying though is that Tottenham,Portsmouth and Blackburn all have a game in hand.
So has Phil Brown Lost the plot? If we fail to stop the slide we will go down should the board act and get rid? Or should the board stick by him after all were we really expected to survive anyway?

just seen clip of hull fans booing at weekends game...
As for whether I like it.....not bothered
Im getting bored with this place now...nothing exciting...the Tuesday night match is now a distant memory
