Manager Phil Brown has dismissed making a bid for former loanee Frazier Campbell. Campbell spent last season at Hull and scored 15 goals which helped them promotion to the Premiership. He returned to Manchester United in the summer and was part of the deal which saw Dimitar Berbatov go to Old Trafford. Now on loan at Tottenham for the season Campbell has scored 3 goals in 14 games.
"We can't look at him because he is not even Spurs' player" Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "Who do we talk to ? "Do we talk to Manchester United, and who do Manchester United then talk to, do they then talk to Tottenham? "There
would have to be an agreement between those two clubs first before
anything could happen. We are a third party in any deal. "It just becomes a vicious circle. It is too complicated at the moment to even talk about Fraizer Campbell. "Of course we would still be interested in Fraizer. He has always been on our radar, everyone knows that. "Are
we going to make a £7m move for Fraizer? Who knows, we might have moved
past that and gone on to spending less money for more experienced
players."
