Young Guns in U21 call-up...

Everton's young heroes over the weekend,have been rewarded with a call up to the England u21's....

Everton goal heroes Dan Gosling and Jack Rodwell are in the latest England Under-21 squad.

Gosling and Rodwell both scored as the Blues impressively beat Manchester United 3-1 at the weekend.

They are both included in Stuart Pearce's squad to face Greece in an important European Championship qualifier in Doncaster on Wednesday 3 March.

Rodwell, 18, has 10 U21 caps to his name, while 20-year-old Gosling made his one and only appearance before Christmas when he was drafted in to replace his injured clubmate.

But both players are now back in the fold.

Pearce said: "I've named a 24-man squad for this one and there are 14 players who played at the weekend, so we've got a bigger number who are getting first team football.

"This is such an important game against Greece; we're first and second in the group. Who gets out of the group will hinge very much on the result of this match."
