Snippet: Yakubu back on the goal trail

Everton manager David Moyes has received a boost with striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu scoring on his comeback in Everton’s reserve side last night.

The Nigerian found the target after only 31 seconds in the reserve team's 3-0 victory against Burnley.

It was his first game since last November when he ruptured his Achilles at Tottenham. Yakubu latched onto James McCarten's long ball and calmly sidefooted home.

Dan Gosling and Cody Arnoux also got on the scoresheet.
