According to a national newspaper Dumbarton will soon name ex-Stranraer boss Sandy McAnespie as their new manager. Former Celtic star Paul McStay and ex-Aberdeen winger Peter Weir had been in line for the job left vacant by Tom Carson's departure. Cruyff Says No - Match Report

According to a national newspaper Dumbarton will soon name ex-Stranraer boss Sandy McAnespie as their new manager.

"Dumbarton are set to name ex-Stranraer boss Sandy
McAnespie as their new manger.

Former Celtic star Paul McStay and ex-Aberdeen winger Peter Weir had been in line for the job left vacant by Tom Carson's departure."

McAnespie has vast experience in the lower leagues and would be more comfortable working on a shoe-string budget and  with the boards "constraints" than the other two mentioned.

However if this is true the club have again failed miserably on the PR front with this story leaking out as an addition to an article on Montrose signing some players. 

It's time to start acting in a professional manner but maybe that is asking too much.
