The Daily Mirror and Daily Star have both today linked Dons midfielder Peter Leven with a summer switch to Championship strugglers Nottingham Forest, with the fee being reported as around the £1m mark.

Leven, 25, only just signed a new two-year contract in February after several reports linked him with a move away from the Dons in the January transfer window, with Forest one of the clubs apparently interested, but the story has surfaced again, with a £1m price tag mentioned.

The Scot signed from Chesterfield on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract with the League Two side, and has played an important part in the Dons' season with ten goals from central midfield. His form has tailed off of late but he would still be a big loss to the Dons midfield, having taken the place of Keith Andrews following his £1m plus switch to Blackburn Rovers.
