Manager Phil Brown says he remains focused of Hull's Relegation battle despite the arrest of his son on suspicion of drug possession. Mr Brown said the arrest was a "personal family matter", and told the paper: "My focus of attention is 100% on Hull City staying in the Premier League. "I am a strong enough character to get through whatever is thrown at me. I appreciate the concerns but I will stress again I am fully focused on my job at Hull City."

The Sun reported on Tuesday that Jamie, 25, was arrested for possession of cocaine after being found slumped outside a nightclub.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said the arrest took place in Ocean Road, South Shields, on Saturday night.

"At around 10.30pm on Saturday April 25, police in South Tyneside arrested a 25-year-old man for possession of a controlled drug," he said.

"He later received a caution."
