Frustrated Bullard

Hull record signing Jimmy Bullard has admitted his frustration surrounding stories about his knee injury. Many reports claimed it was the smae injury that kept him out of action for 16 months whilst he was at Fulham but the midfielder who has played only 29 minutes of football for The Tigers has said that it is a different ligament in his knee. Bullard told CITY Magazine

"Just because it's a cruciate injury it doesn't have to be the same as one you've had before and the knee is a lot more complicated than that.

"It isn't just one ligament you're talking about, there are four main ones in there that are holding it all together. It was never the case that it was like my previous injury - in fact it was nothing like it at all.

"Richard (Steadman) has told me that the knee will be as strong as ever now with the replacement ligament in there and I just can't wait to get back to playing football."
