Former Bolton Wanderers assistant Phil Brown remains adamant that he will carry on as the manager of Derby County despite last night's heavy defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Rams are currently struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table but Brown is hopeful that he can turn things round at Pride Park in the second half of the season.

"People are talking about walking away from the job but I was the right man for the job five months ago and I will continue to think that way.

"I have a vision for Derby, I know it's a million miles away now but I will continue with that belief and vision."

Brown spent a total of fifteen years associated with the Wanderers as a player and a coach before moving into his first managerial role with Derby back in June as the successor to George Burley.
