Charlton Athletic midfielder Danny Murphy has praised the effectiveness of Bolton's tactics after the Trotters came away with the three points during a tight game at The Valley last weekend. The former Liverpool star believes that there is no other team in the Premiership who can match the Wanderers with their physical presence and dogged determination after seeing Kevin Nolan's second half goal condemn the high flying Addicks.

"They have got some tough characters, some big strong athletes and they have got experience, They put balls in from deep, they get on the second ball, they fight. They are tactics which are difficult to play against."

"Athletically they are as good as they come. In their starting 11, Nakata is maybe their only player who couldn't be a bouncer. But they are a club like us who are progressing really well under an English manager, who I think has done a great job."

The 28-year old did however say that he would not pay to watch those tactics on a regular basis despite the fact that they are working towards helping Bolton become an established top half team.

"Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't pay to watch them every week but it is successful for them."
