Summer signing Blerim Dzemaili is making good progress after having a second operation on his cruciate ligament injury accoring to Bolton manager Sammy Lee.

Dzemaili, who signed for the Wanderers on a pre-contract arrangement six months ago, picked up the long term injury whilst playing out the season with his previous club FC Zurich.

He has received constant support from the Bolton medical staff since the injury occured and they have accompanied him to operations in Colorado and Denver as well as a recouperation programme in Switzerland.

Bolton manager Lee told the clubs official website that the Swiss international was making good progress and he is willing to give the player extra time to recover.

"He has had his second operation over in Denver and his rehabilitation is going very well indeed." said Lee earlier on today

"He is a very determined lad and has had some of our staff with him in Colorado and back in Switzerland. They are making sure everything is fine with him and we are keeping close contact with him.

"We are going to let nature take its course because there's no rush. He's a terrific lad and a great prospect

Dzemaili 21, could resume training around November if his recovery is a success but a realistic target to return to action will be the New Year.
