Manchester United make the trip to Villa Park on Tuesday to take on an injury-plagued Aston Villa side who are going through a bad patch in form.

United on the other hand are the most in-form team in the Premiership having not been beaten in 8 games. Villa will be no push-over though despite the contrast in form and, like always, will be a tough team to beat at Villa Park.

Both teams have started the congested holiday fixture list with mixed results. The Red Devils picked up a good 2-0 win over neighbours Bolton Wanderers whilst Villa were only beaten 1-0 by table-toppers Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

"We were down to the bare-bones and another injury would have seen us really struggling. But the players that were available gave it a good go." boss David O'Leary commented after the defeat.

Mark Delaney endured a tough afternoon marking Arjen Robben and suffered a groin strain in the process, keeping the Welshman out of tomorrow's clash. Carlton Cole however returns to the squad after missing the game against the club he's on-loan from.

Duo Gary Neville and Eric Djemba-Djemba are still recovering from a flu virus that has hit Carrington and are unlikely to feature. Paul Scholes may step-up from the bench after his 7th goal in as many games that sealed the 3 points against The Trotters.

Speaking prior to the Villa game, Sir Alex Ferguson stated: "Scholes hasn't trained all week because of a flu virus. He didn't feel too bad yesterday but the best thing to do was to put him on the bench. Gary Neville and Eric Djemba-Djemba also went down with it and we had to send them home before the game today. Hopefully it clears up by Tuesday."

He added: "I thought Villa played well at Chelsea today, particularly in the first half. They've got some good young players who are emerging through the ranks and David O'Leary's done well to give them a chance in the team."
