Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed plans to rest teenage sensation Cristiano Ronaldo at one point during the season in order to avoid burn-out. Ronaldo, who will receive similar treatment that Ryan Giggs received when he was a maturing player, endured a very eventful summer by representing his country Portugal not only during a successful Euro 2004 campaign, but also played in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. The 19-year old has only missed 3 out of 19 games so far this season for The Red Devils and, considering the winger's age, is in potential risk of injury. Ferguson exposed: "There is going to be a spell when Cristiano
Ronaldo needs a rest" |
