Manchester United winger Kieran Richardson has considered himself happy with his career at the moment and is confident he can hold a permanent place in the United team in years to come.

The former West Ham youngster recently sealed The Red Devils' place in the last 8 of the Carling Cup, scoring the second of two goals scored against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

"At the moment I feel my career is going well I am feeling confident and playing well and hopefully I can get some more chances and some games for the first team. I have been around for three years but the gaffer knows what he is doing and I hope I'm in his plans." said Richardson.

"Long-term I see myself as a Manchester United player and I'm confident I can do that."

Transfer Mill has been producing reports Richardson could be offloaded to a Championship side on-loan this season and the midfielder has admitted he's ready for such a deal, adding: "I wouldn't say no to a loan, but at the moment the gaffer wants me to stay here and whatever he says goes."
