Bradford Miss Out On Eagles

First Division outfit Bradford City have admitted that they missed out on signing Manchester United starlet Chris Eagles on-loan yesterday after not completing the required paper-work in time for the 17:00 GTM transfer deadline.

Current Bradford boss and former Old Trafford favourite Bryan Robson confirmed that he launched an 11th hour bid in an attempt to capture the 18-year old midfielder on-loan until the end of the season and Sir Alex Ferguson accepted it with just 20 minutes left to complete the deal, but Eagles wasn't around to put pen-to-paper.

Cash strapped Bantams, who currently lay 23rd in Division One, lost midfielders Paul Evans and Paul Reid just before the deadline and Robson was quick to bid for Eagles.

Eagles, who holds squad number 33, has been regarded as one of the biggest talents United possess and recently made his debut against Leeds United in the Carling Cup.
