Sir Alex Ferguson is set to make a bid for Dutch midfielder/ defender Pascal Bosschaart at the start of the transfer window in January. Bosschaart, 23, is currently playing for Dutch outfit Utrecht and is one of the biggest talents in Holland. Match Report

Sir Alex Ferguson is set to make a bid for Dutch midfielder/ defender Pascal Bosschaart at the start of the transfer window in January.

Bosschaart, 23, is currently playing for Dutch outfit Utrecht and is one of the biggest talents in Holland.

Sir Alex sent chief scout Martin Ferguson to watch Utrecht play Heerenveen on Sunday. Bosschaart played the whole game and his side won 2-1.

The Dutchman's agent, Karel Jansen, has commented on a possible move, saying: "We have heard about the interest from United, but there is nothing official,"

"He is contracted until 2005 at Utrecht and that is as much as we know.

"We are going to have a meeting with Utrecht next week to discuss Pascal's situation and see what is happening," he continued.
