Forest 2-4 A.S Airdrie
Another Valuable 3 points were added on Saturday morning at Crownpoint,Parkhead.
Airdrie selected a 4-4-2 formation due to the recent good form of the defence, Stephen Walker also started his first match of the season in place of the injured Capaldi,Andy Clark also sat this one out with a groin injury.
Airdrie began well and it was no suprise when after 10 minutes Cooper scored from a recycled corner with Forest failing to clear there lines,More early pressure saw Walker unmarked in the box and his left foot shot arrowed into the back of the net.
20 Minutes in and Airdrie were looking comfartable and also seeking a third killer goal, It almost arrived when Edgar floated and effort towards the back post but the crossbar came to forest's rescue.With half Time approaching Forest were handed a lifeline when Rowan brought down Darroch, a tad harsh on the keeper which was reflected by no booking for the foul.Darroch kept a cool head and made it 2-1 at the break

Forest came out fighting and had a good 20 minute spell at the start of the second half but Airdrie's backline were solid.Airdrie started to come back into the game with good passing and movement with Gray in particular looking sharp, he picked up the ball on many occasions and drifted past the tackles with ease, with 20 mins to go Gray drove in from the left and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top right corner of the Forest net.Airdrie made a quick fire sub to revert back to there usuall 3-5-2 formation with Hendrie replacing Burton,Soon after it was 4-1 when a hanball in the box was spotted by the ref and an unhappy regular spot kick taker (Burton)cursed his luck as Andy Edgar stepped up to seal the win.K.Pardoe replaced Walker up front and soon after Arbuckle replaced Johnstone in the center.Forest did manage a consolation goal with 5 minutes left but it was never going to be enough as Airdrie made it 3 league wins from 4 games a superb start to life in the top league.
