Airdrie will still be without Marvin Andrews while Wayne Gardener and Simon Bella will receive late fitness tests. Sorry, just having a dig at teletext's match preview there. It's true what old 'Gorilla' Monsoon used to say, "A pat on the back is only a foot and a half away from a kick in the butt!!". Whether Lee Gardner or Simon Vella make I'd expect at least a couple of changes to freshen things up a bit. David McGuire for a start wouldn't have been best pleased at remaining in the dugout and would surely be chomping at the bit. Liam McVey would seemingly be fit to return and could add some vitality, and Stevie McKeown will surely be looking to get back into things in a hurray after his stop/start year. I'd think Jimmy Boyle will have earned a wee rest this weekend following that shift on Tuesday.

Unfortunately Mark McGeown's sending off last week will have earned him an automatic one game ban so youngster Peter Cherrie will be between the sticks. The continued absence of Marvyn Wilson won't help Airdrie's cause but hopefully he'll be back to seriously boost our league run shortly and his presence against Dundee Utd will be a major help in that game. Considering all the team news I'm expecting to see something along the lines of Cherrie in goals, Brannigan, Stewart and McGowan in defence, Armstrong, Harv, Doc, Gow and McVey in midfield, and McGuire and Vareille up front. Can the Diamonds secure three points though?
