Welsh under 21 international who joined from Macclesfield Town on a three year contract in May 2012.
Hewitt, born in Rhyl, Wales came through the youth system at Macclesfield and made his debut in the 2010/2011 season aged 16, becoming the first choice right back the following season.
A hip injury however ruled the 5ft 11in full back out of the opening months of the 2012/2013 season, eventually making his deubt in December against Millwall as a sub. Hewitt made his full debut in January 2013, starting the FA Cup Third Round clash with Aston Villa.
