The Molineux Way 2020-21 Prediction League

Here We Go Again

Wolves 2020-21 season kicks off on 14th September at Bramhall Lane and here on the Molineux Way posters are invited to take part in the annual Prediction League to see just how accurately they can predict the outcome of Wolves games. At the moment there is no prize for winning other than huge glory and pride, but the challenge is there to knock the current champion Ivybridge Wolf from his lofty perch.

This is an entirely free and fun competition to take part in, and the only requirement is to make a forecast before kick-off. Now that the League is set up and ready to start we hope all members will take part and savour the competition. As in the past two seasons all domestic Cup competitions will be included in the challenge.

Good Luck

Excuse my ignorance, but do we have to register now or do I just predict?

Have been on here for a while! ✌️😬

Just predict, as long as you’re logged on as BAW. I access via the ‘home’ button via my PC and tablet but confess I’ve never been too sure how to predict using my phone as the front page looks different. I bow in advance to somebody else’s knowledge.

I tend to struglle with the layout if you are on your phone too, however you can go on to a thread then scroll right to the bottom of it as if to make a comment and you should see the option to 'Use Desktop Site' which will bring you to this format.

How many of us got maximum points from the West Ham match?

The sort of prediction that saw me finish bottom last year.

And Cheshire Wolf leaps into an unexpected lead at the top of the board for the second time this season. Whatever would an Angry Wolf make of it!!

I’ve lost the plot, yet again, this season 😃🤔

Me too Chicago, put it down to the pandemic.

Chesh, can you remind me of the cup rules, is the score we predict taken at the end of FT or AET (if needed)?

Hi Ivy Last season we decided to accept the score at the end of 90 minutes. Taking into account that a game may finish at 0 - 0 then be decided on penalties I certainly think that's the easiest and fairest way to manage it.

The slump at Fincher Park continues. Thankfully supporters are not allowed in the stadium or they would be calling for my head. I keep away from social media.
The Chairman (next door's Shih Tsu) has left a message on my patio. I was hoping for a vote of confidence but I think he has left his opinion about recent results.
Up The Finches.

Don't let Nuno hear you being thankful the fans aren't allowed in Andy!! I would watch out for stray seagulls when you are out walking if I were you!!!

Well folks I have updated the League following yesterday’s final game of the season.
I am most surprised and delighted to announce that the winner of this season’s Prediction League Challenge is............. Cheshire Wolf!!

I really am very pleased to win this at my 12th attempt, and I also congratulate my fellow Moderator Ivybridge Wolf who made a final dash for the tape and finished as this season’s runner up.

I must be honest that my good fortune started in the away game at West Ham, when I intended to forecast a 2 - 0 win for Wolves and inadvertently went for 2 - 0 to the Hammers who went on to thrash us 4 - 0!! However the rest of it was down to pure skill.

I’m only sorry that An Angry Wolf is no longer visible on the site to offer his congratulations, after making some derisory comments about my performances in the past.

I hope there will still be some enthusiasm to try our skills again next season.

Well done Chesh.
After my dire performance this season things can only get better.

Congrats Cheshire, 12th time lucky, as they say!! It’s been a tricky season because with our gold tinted spectacles firmly on, results have not gone the way we’d have liked.

More than happy with my second position to be honest, champions league position secured at the death!

Thanks to everybody who took part 👍
