Saturday's visitors to te Sunderland Stadium of Light are Phil Brown's Hull City. It's been nearly two weeks since the last premiership game was played so the sides should be raring to go.

This will be the first chance to see Steve Bruce's new look Sunderland side, with Michael Turner, John Mensah and Paulo Da Silva fighting for places in the back 4, one of which has been vacated by the now injured George McCartney.

Sunderland have more injury worries though, with no recognised goalie on the bench reserve team keeper Trevor Carson looks set to make his premier league debut, Craig Gordon has a thigh strain which ruled him out of Scotland's do or die world cup qualifier with Holland while Marton Fulop is recovering from a heel injury.

Injured: Lee Cattermole, George McCartney.

Lee Cattermole will be hoping to make a return to fitness in time for saturday after picking up an injury with England under 21s during the international break.

The last time these side's played Sunderland ran out 4-1 winners while led by caretaker manager Ricky Sbragia.

I'm hoping for a repeat performance, 5-0 is what I want, Da Silva first goal with Bent and Jones to get a brace each.

Hull's main threat will come from Jozy Altidore, an American, who is always a handful and has impressed for Hull since joining this season.
