Black Cats loaned players return

Black Cats on loan players who's season has already ended have this week returned to Wearside. Roy O'Donovan and Anthony Stokes have returned to the Academy of Light, as well as Michael Chopra..

O'Donovan has been plying his trade in the Championship with Blackpool since January, while Stokes linked up with Crystal Palace.

The conclusion of the Football League season last weekend has left the players free to return to training with Sunderland.
 
Defender Greg Halford will remain with Sheffield United, who he joined on a season-long loan, as they battle for promotion to the Barclays Premier League via the play-offs.
 
Michael Chopra's loan move to Cardiff will automatically become a permanent transfer on July 1st.
