Twenty year old defender Connor Greene joined East Stirlingshire in July 2014 after being released by Falkirk. On 26 July 2014 he made his first appearance for the Shire against his former club in a League Cup tie. It wasn’t a particularly happy debut for Connor. He picked up a yellow card and his new team were thumped 7-1.

He has since become an important part of Craig Tully's squad, taking part in thirty-six matches during the 2014-15 season. To date he has started a total of sixty times for East Stirlingshire plus four as a substitute. He has scored twice.

In his first season for the Shire the then eighteen year old Connor was cautioned on twelve occasions and sent off once. He has again been sent off once this season but with three matches remaining in 2015-16 the yellow card count stands at just four.

Connor’s overall performances also continue to improve and earlier this week he was named as East Stirlingshire supporters’ Player of the Year.
