On 30 Mach 2016, Berwick Rangers fan ‘Dougster’ wrote in Pie and Bovril League 2 Chatter of his admiration for the loyalty shown by Shire suporters. He also included the following:

“Hating a club like East Stirlingshire is a bit like having a dislike for Julie Andrews; it's very difficult."
