Halifax Town will fold as a football club on the 10th of June unless a buyer comes in for the club. Never before has the situation been any worse!

Two Weeks To Save Our Club |
|
Peter O'Hara has said that if there is no investment before the 10th of June, then our football club will go out of existence. The current situation seems to be the worst the club has ever been in and times are getting really desperate. O'Hara spoke in the Evening Courier: "If I was a betting man, the club will be out of existence if the interested parties fail to come back with something before June 10. It is doubtful the club will survive. I paid wages to some juniors and administrative staff and now we have virtually no money left at all." The administrator has had meetings with various consortiums, but as yet there is nothing set in stone as to who, if anyone is prepared to put any money in. If there is no solid offer before the 10th of June then the club would have no option but to fold. I know we have been in bad positions before, but never before has it got this bad, and O'Hara is not calling anyone's bluff. The club is on its knees and there seems little light at the end of the tunnel. I am at a stage now where I am preparing for the worst. With the death of our football club around the corner the World Cup seems to take a back seat at this moment in time. |
