Ipswich Town will start the 2013/2014 Football League Championship season away to recently relegated Reading with Jay Tabb set to make his first start for Town after moving from the Royals against his former club.

The opening game of the season takes place on Saturday 3rd August with a 3.00pm kick-off. Town's Capital One Cup first round tie against League One side Stevenage will take place three days later, also away from home with a kick off time of 7.45pm.

Over the Christmas period Town face Doncaster Rovers and AFC Bournemouth away from home, whilst the first fixture of the new year will be a home clash with Charlton Athletic. 

The regular season finishes on the 3rd May where Town will take on Yorkshire side Sheffield Wednesday at Portman Road, with fans hoping the the club will be in the shake-up for promotion or thereabouts come the final day.
