Former Ipswich Town FA Youth Cup Winner Ed Upson is celebrating promotion to the Championship this afternoon as his side won 2-1 at Wembley in the League One play-off Final.

Upson scored a crucial goal to send Gary Johnson's side to Wembley in the play-off semi-final win against Sheffield United almost a fortnight ago and now looks set to come up against Town in next seasons campaign when the two sides meet.

Upson scored the winning goal for Town in the 2005 FA Youth Cup final, but despite much promise, failed to break through into the Town first team apart from two League Cup games in 2009/2010 and joined Yeovil in 2010, a club for which he has now clocked up over 100 games for.

The Bury St Edmunds born midfielder has represented England and both Under 17 and Under 19 level.
