Ipswich Town have signed their first player of the summer with the club confirming that out of contract Bristol City midfielder Cole Skuse will sign a three year deal at Portman Road.
The 27 year old that came through the Academy at Ashton Gate will join up with his new team-mates on the 1st July 2013 and says whilst he had other options, Ipswich was always going to be the only club for him.
“I loved my time at Bristol, they gave me a chance in the game and I’ll always be grateful for that." he told the Official Ipswich Town Football Club website this morning.
“It’s the right time for me to move on though. I need a fresh challenge and when I knew Ipswich wanted me, I didn’t have to think too hard about the decision. I had a few options but with Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor in charge at Ipswich, that shows the intent of the Club to move forward and I can’t wait to get going.”
