Two signings at Fir Park

Firstly Chris Humphrey signed a one year contract extension then we got the news we had signed Blackburn Rovers defender Gavin Gunning on loan.

Humphrey now has a contract that runs to the summer of 2013 after the pacey winger impressed new boss Stuart McCall in recent weeks.

 

He was signed from Shrewsbury by the much maligned Jim Gannon and while it did appear to take him some time to settle he has impressed this season having taken a few teams apart.

 

The club are once again telling us this is a great job signing up one of our more talented younger players on a long term deal. I suppose this gives us some stability or gives us a decent transfer fee is he continues to impress.

 

Later in the day Gavin Gunnning joined on loan from Blackburn Rovers, with McCall having made no secret he was looking for a left sided defender following the departure of Mark Reynolds this was no surprise.

 

The 20 year old is available for selection for Sundays League Cup Semi Final if the manager thinks fit.

 

With only three days to go until the window closes, all McCall needs to do is find a striker and he will have done not too bad in replacing the departed foursome!
