League Cup draw pairs us with Rangers

Today's League Cup draw paired us with holders Rangers in the League Cup semi final.

The draw this afternoon saw us paired with Rangers while Celtic have been drawn with Aberdeen in the other semi - no surprises there!

The games have been moved to a weekend date of Sat/Sun 29th or 30th January rather than the more accustomed midweek date, and it is more than likely they will be played at Hampden.

The last time the two sides met in the competition was back in October 2007 with Rangers running out 2-1 winners with Paul Quinn netting a late consolation for Well.

Then of course we will also be looking for revenge for the Cup Final defeat of 2005 when we failed to turn up and were duly hammered 1-5.
