Jim Gannon took part in a tough press conference yesterday following recent troubles over Aberdeen's link with Jim O'Brien and the naming of players he may want to release.
The manager once again refuesed to speak to the BBC both before and after the game, although the sneaky Beeb sent a reported to the written media's press conference and have put this on their website in full.
During this conference the manager also had a bit of a spat with some of the press boys when he mentioned that they were maybe not always honest, "We understand the role the media play and the confusion they create through misinformation. Our kit man made a valid point today, before he came into football he believed everything he read in the papers now he is in football and knows the facts he doesn't believe everything he reads.
"This is the views of a layman who has moved into football, we have seen things written in the press in recent weeks which has not been the truth.
"I have been in football most of my life but I believe the media have a role to play but they must report the truth and that way they will gain respect."
The manager did seem a bit uncomfortable with the line of questionaing and did his best to get the conversation back to football matters and he added, "I enjoy working with good honest professionals who work hard, I am enjoying the football. All I am concerned about is doing the best I can for the club, that is why I am pleased I have been able to do something for Motherwell.
"I want to show people that good young players can play football in Scotland, and hopefully we will fast track some of the young players, like Saunders, Murphy and Forbes, into the Scotland side because the game needs fresh young blood and I think we have that here and people respect what we are doing here."
The news then broke that he had walked away from a Sky interview when pushed on his comments in the Matchday Programme about the state of Scottish Football.
Gannon is learning fast about our media and I think there will be only one winner with Gannon keeping his dignity.
