Away record still intact after second half fightback

Two late second half goals from Lukas Jutkiewicz saw Motherwell fight back from 1-3 down to keep their unbeaten away record going.

This ended up being an absolutely storming game which had everything in it, although we had to sit through an uninspiring first half that was dominated by St. Mirren.

We were lucky to be only one goal behind at the break, with that goal coming minutes before the break from Hugh Murray. It summed up everything about our first half performance, the ball was given away cheaply leaving the defensive line in disarray and leaving Murray in acres of space to slot past John Ruddy.

The start to the second hald was as good as could be expected although it was tinged with controversy. Murray tackled O'Brien at the edge of the box and the ref awarded a penalty much to the chagrin of the home side and their fans.

That didn't bother Ross Forbes who coolly sent Gallagher the wrong way for his 8th goal of the season.

Rather than build on this we went in to meltdown again and were two down with 20 minutes left thanks to ludicrous goals from Dorman and Murray (almost from the right touch line!).

This seemed to galvanise the side and Lukas Jutkiewicz stepped up to score two in 10 minutes to seal the point.

By this stage Jim Gannon had gone to a 3-2-5 formation to try to firstly get the draw and then try to win the game but in the end we had to settle for a point which isn't bad considering we only played for 20 minutes!
