With McGhee and Leitch now having been confirmed as the new Aberdeen management team Motherwell can now search for a manager in earnest.

After a long drawn out compensation deal McGhee and Leitch were unveiled as Aberdeen's new management team yesterday, allowing John Boyle to step up his search for a new boss.

As usual the papers link us with the usual suspects, incuding Gordon Chisholm from Queen of the South, and the usual list of former Motherwell men, including Gary McAllister, Chris McCart and Luc Nijholt.

When you look back over the years we have never really had a Motherwell mided manager, with our most successful managers being McLean and McGhee who had no previous Motherwell attachment.

I am hoping that Boyle pulls a rabbit out of the hat like he did with McGhee and pull another masterstroke.

Without knowing a full list of who is available it is hard to comment but it will be interesting to know who has sent in their CVs.

All I hope is the whole thing is wrapped up quickly with the players back on 22nd June and our first game on 2nd July.
