After Saturday's defeat to St. Mirren it looks as though everyone is looking ahead to next season at Fir Park. The manager wants to stay but will all his squad line up behind him?
It looks as though Mark McGhee is getting his denials about his future in early this summer as he spoke this week, "I am committed to Motherwell and my position hasn't changed just because we have failed to make the top six," McGhee said.
"I am committed to Motherwell. I have no other offers on the table and I don't have an agent or agents out there trying to get me a job. I have no intention of job seeking or punting myself elsewhere.
"I still feel there is a lot more to come from this team and I feel I can get it out of the boys.
"I have already sat down with John Boyle and Stuart Robertson to start making plans for the new season. I am also trying to arrange pre-season and to bring new players in for next season."
While this is no doubt good news, who will he have to pick from next season? Stephen Hughes has been linked with Rangers this week, even though he has been offered a new contract at Motherwell, will he want the hassle of an Ibrox return?
Graeme Smith said after Saturday's defeat he hasn't decide on his future, despite offers from Motherwell and Hibs, which sounds like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Although if he goes we already have Michael Fraser from Inverness lined up to come in.
Finally we have cult hero Maros Klimpl, the midfield assasin is a fan's favourite and he seems to be enjoying his football, will he stay?
As McGhee says above he is already loking for others to bring in, but his record in transfer market hasn't been brilliant over the years, we'll just have to wait and see.
