Ready for action again?

It's ten days since Motherwell were last in action and they return to action this Saturday with a six pointe with Dundee Utd.

Motherwell's nine game unbeaten run came to an end at Tynecastle ten days again with a 2-1 defeat to Hearts leaving them back in the bottom six on goal difference from Hibs.

There are now only five games left to the split, not surprisingly described in true journalistic cliche on the official website as five cup finals! The games see Dundee Utd, Aberdeen and St. Mirren come to Fir Park while we have to travel to Kilmarnock and Rangers.

With a full squad to choose from, although Klimpl must be suspended soon, there is no doubt four of these are winnable, while the trip to Ibrox shouldn't have us quaking in out shoes.

Up first are Dundee United, who we beat 4-0 back in January and since then the have slumped quite a bit. Although they know if they can win on Saturday they will effectively have halted our run for fourth.

On the other hand we will be looking to make sure we keep in touch and put them under some pressure in fourth.

One of our key players on the day will be keeper Graeme Smith who this week was linked with a pre-contract move to Hibs. I hope this isn't true and he decides if he wants to stay in Scotland he can achieve more at Motherwell.
