Well keeper Graeme Smith looks back at the defeat to Kilmarnock on Saturday, even though losing in the last minute was a major blow he feels that we are still good enough to make back into the European places for next season as there is little to chose between the teams. Smith after Killie loss

After the defeat he said, "We will have to dust ourselves down and look to the next game, we feel we are as god as anyone in the League. We have had a look at most teams now and I think we are not far away.

He was asked if the goal was offside or not and he added, "I couldn't honestly say, a lot of the boys were saying that but I was watching the shot. Once we went down to ten men we defended all right, it took a wee deflection and got the goal.

"In the first half Chris Porter was certain he was onside and that was a big turning point. If we had gone one goal up we would have been comfortable."

On the sending off the keeper said, "That was probably a correct decision, Paul doesn't get a touch on the ball and the ref has no option."

The ref was a bit of a SPL rookie and the keeper felt the Killie players had used this to their advantage, "I think credit to Killie players they played the referee well, they stood over the ball and only in the 93rd minute they got a yellow card for it. It's a bit of gamesmanship and I think the ref could've stamped that out earlier on in the game.

"If we had got the goal, the important one is the offside one, if that had stood you never know."

On his own Yellow card he said, "I asked the ref, Why did you book me? And he said you pushed him, I thought I didn't push him I was only walking towards him waving a finger. Clarky got booked when he thought he got a punch, that's football and we are big giuys an we should handle it but the ref should see it. A lot of the time I think the linemsman sees it and don't give anything.

"They had a free kick at me and it's a booking and I get a booking, maybe I should roll about on the ground. We want to move on and we are confident we have a good squad and that is a positive and it is good for the club we have the likes of Jamie Murphy coming through."

He feels we are still more than capable of pushing up the table, "We just want to go a wee run, we know if we go on a run we will be nearer the top of the league than the bottom. We are now in a position to kick on, the manager has a tight budget. The Killie programme had about 30 players and we have about 20 players including some kids, but we know we have the ability to beat the teams and get up the table."
