Latest news:

Davies in Wales Squad

Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies has been called in to the Wales squad for the upcoming International break that covers the fixtures taking place on Saturday 8th September.

Whilst this is great news for Davies and fully deserved following his excellent start to the season, this could cause a problem for the super reds as League One fixtures are still played during international breaks.

For the game to be postponed we need to have three players called up for international duty (or Walsall do).

Walton looks a good young keeper who did well when he came in to the side at the end of last season.

However I feel that being forced to change keeper when we have been doing so well with the current back five could cause problems.

Walton played in the League Cup game at Blackpool where we conceded three goals and thus far we have only conceded two in total in the league.

Before a ball was kicked this season I wanted Walton as number one based on the performances of the pair last season.

Davies however has come back strong and looks to have regained his confidence and at the moment I don’t want to see him out of side.

It’s a bit of a dilemma really. Do we want three international call ups so the game is postponed and we can play it midweek where we can field our strongest team?

Or do we just want to play the game regardless of who is missing and try to keep this early season momentum going?

What are your thoughts reds fans?

I am certainly in two minds. I’m also unable to attend on the 8th so a postponement would be good for me.
