Louis Saha has chosen to wear the number eight shirt this coming season after changing it from his previous number nine.
Saha was in the number 9 shirt last season and he also wore the same number when at Manchester United.
But with Segundo Castillo leaving the club, it means the number 8 shirt is now available and Saha jumped at the chance of making the shirt his own as he has a special attraction to that number.
Saha's birthday is 8 August.
He told evertonfc.com: "I have always favoured the number eight jersey throughout my career but for one reason or another it has never been available.
"When I arrived at Everton last year I wanted to take it, but Casti had just arrived and that wasn't possible.
"This season it is available and because I was born on the eighth day of the eighth month, it is a number I do associate with.
"Dan Gosling switches from number 32 to number 19, while Seamus Coleman is number 31.
