Sunderland today have been linked with Chilean striker Humberto Suazo according to reports from South America. Suazo was the world’s leading scorer in top-flight football in 2006, when he netted 38 goals in 44 games for Chilean giants Colo Colo before joining Mexican side Monterrey.

It has also been said that Sunderland have offered a trial to French international striker Bryan Bergougnoux, who would be available on a free transfer.

Today also sees a host of out of contract players leave Sunderland, as well as the move of Micheal Chopra to Cardiff for £4million completed.

Rumour has it that ex Sunderland Boss, and serial quitter, Roy Keane is interested in taking Carlos Edwards and Nyron Nosworthy to his new side Ipswich.

Personally I'd be sad to see Nyron go, however I don't think Carlos is physical enough for the Premmier League.
