A preview to the vital Championship match between Safc and QPR. Can keane-o and his men keep the run going and stay unbeaten in 2007?
When Roy Keane took over as manager at Sunderland the team were laying rock bottom and the mood around sunderland was very glum. With only 4 games left in the season Roy Keane has led sunderland from 24th in the league to 1st. Sunderland vs QPR is expected to be a very important game in the history of the club. Over 40,000 fans is expectd to turn out and witness the match. With Birmingham (one of Sunderlands main championship rivals) having 3 games in a week, 2 of them being Wolves and Southampton, it is very important that Sunderland beat QPR.
Dean Whitehead is expected to return to the Sunderland line up after been rested on monday against Southampton. Although he did feature off the bench to help Sunderland win 2-1 with a late comeback.
Nyron Nosworthy as shrugged off a ankle injury and is expected to line up alongside Jonny Evans in the centre of defence.
Liam Miller is a strong doubt. Therefore Dwight Yorke and Grant Leadbitter are battling to be in the starting line up. The match has probably came a bit too early to see Graham Kavanagh feature after his lengthy layoff.
My ideal starting line up would be:
Ward
Simpson Nyron Evans Collins
Edwards Leadbitter Yorke Wallace
John Connolly
Leadbitter for me has earned his place with the goal he got against southampton and hasnt featured in a startin line up for a while. I havent seen Stern John line up alon side Connolly for a while but every time i have seen it I have liked it, they work quite well together. I feel Murphy plays awful all game but comes up with the bit of class when you need it but i think tomorrow Sunderland need a more consistant team who weare certain can produce a win.
HA'AY THE LADS!
