Posh record 3-0 victory over Rotherham

League two side Peterborough United beat League one outfit Rotherham United 3-0 in what was one of the major shocks in the round. A fantastic result see's The Posh through to the next round where we will face Tranmere Rovers away from home. The Posh to the game to Rotherham right from the start. After 28 minutes went for an attack from a Rotherham corner, the result, Adam Newton cut the ball back for Richard Butcher to fire home. 1-0 to The Posh.

Once again for the second goal, it started as a Rotherham corner kick, which The Posh cleared and a counter attack was on. Only this time Danny Crow passed to Aaron Mclean. 2-0 to The Posh.

To make any possible Rotherham comeback in vain, Danny Crow niped in to score to cap a fantastic performance from The Posh after Mark Tyler pulled two fantastic saves to deny Eugene Bopp and Will Hoskins.

The reesult was a well deserved victory for The Posh, and Posh fans will hope for repeats of this performance in the games to come.
