Updates on Stuff

This time, I have little new to write about. I just have to write something to stop the site dropping away from the menus... Its now 9½ weeks without a manger. That’s a very long time. Dick Knight has apparently been looking for a new one, but teams who lost their manager sooner have replaced them already, e.g. Dundee. There is still a lot of rumour suggesting that Tony Adams will take over the job, and other names mentioned are Ivan Bonnetti (former Dundee) and Lou Macari (former Huddersfield).

New kits may be available as soon as this month, maybe as late as the end of August. It also seems apparent that SKINT will continue to sponsor the club for 1 more year, which may then involve the club breaking the fans charter at the end of next year. The Fans Charter states that the replica kit will not be changed more than once every two season, and if SKINT jump ship then, changing the sponsor decal will count as a new kit. I, however, doubt the Centenary Shirt counts under this, as it was used in two different seasons.

Falmer still seems sort of stalled. However, it looks like a contractor to build it has been lined up. Alfred McAlpine has been suggested, and this is very likely, as Chief Executive Martin Perry has links with McAlpines.

On the players front, there seems to be a odd quiet among the media, who used to be constantly commenting on possible sales of Zamora. However, it has been suggested that Danny Cullip may be sold in a part exchange with Leicester for Junior Lewis.

That’s about it from me until the club announces the new manager, a new kit, or some word on Falmer. I plan to upload some sort of player profile section in the next few days, but don’t expect it to be too good initially, as I cannot just steal another sites. Don’t forget to vote in the poll, and talk on the message board. That’s what they are there for. The previous story is the results of our old polls
