A report on the Brighton v. Ipswich match has been submitted to me by an Ipwsich fan. I'm running it as its the first one I don't have to write, despite it being from the other side. Joe Royle described Towns first half performance as “toothless, passionless and useless” as Ipswich only got a 1-1 draw with bottom of the table Brighton and hove Albion.

As with far to many games this year Ipswich had most possession but that counts for nothing if you are unable to score the decisive goal.

Jermaine Wright moved into the starting 11 for Ipswich while Counago has been dropped to the bench.

In a game which sore Bobby Zamora give the seagulls the lead in the last minute of the first half and John McGreal limp off early on imp unsure to which worried me most but until the 77th minute when super Jim Magilton put Ipswich back on level terms giving us all the makings of an interesting last 10 minutes as both side looked for the winner but no winner was forth coming so it ended 1-1, of course fans of both side will think one side or the other should have had all 3 points Ipswich fans looking back at the 3-1 win over Brighton in the Worthington cup and Brighton fans on the much better first half performance of their side. Imp an Ipswich fan and imp not going with either of those views simply because the side that beat Brighton not so long ago was under the management of George Burley a man who knew what he was doing unlike Royle who has done just as badly as Burley had this season but Royle didn’t get Ipswich Into the top flight of English football or into the UEFA cup so simply I don’t believe this result was the right one.
