Plymouth Albion Ladies will be playing in Premiership 2 this season with an expanded 10 team format.

Shown above was the squad that took on and beat Roslyn Park 38 - 12 at the end of the last season.
The Plymouth Albion Ladies, who were founded in 1995 at Marjons, are already back in training preparing for what is likely to be their biggest and hardest season so far. Last season the ladies finished 4th in Premiership league 2, the second level of Ladies rugby. The league has this year been expanded to 10 teams so the squad is looking forward to 18 league games as well as friendless and cup matches.
The first game of the season is currently set against against newly promoted Waterloo, who they play just one day after the our men play Waterloo. They hope that the almost 600 mile round trip will not put them at too much of a disadvantage. Negotiation may well be going on to to enable supporters to see both games. Stay tuned and keep one eye on the fixtures list page.
New players are joining the team and Tristan Foster, Head Coach, has said that he will continue running the development side now to be known as Plymouth Barracudas, who will compete in a friendly league "Spirit of the Game".
The ladies team will always welcome new members of the team at what ever ability level you are, even if you have not played rugby in the past. The most important thing you should bring is a wiliness to take part. Whilst the squad includes a number of players with England experience they have individuals that only started playing the sport at the beginning of last season and have already made league appearances.
The squad train on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:30pm to around 8pm at brickfields. You can just turn up but if you like email Head Coach Tristan Foster or phone him on 07738444689.
