Albion ladies do not come away with the win they were banking on. An even, open game that was snatched away in the last 4 minutes.  

Ladies lose the the match in the dying minutes of the match.

After the long trip to Old Albanian Saints the match was very open, and it could have gone either way unfortunately for Albion it did not go their way. At the change around Albion were leading thanks to a try by Rachel Tucker and the boot of Tracy Corby. Although the hosts came back just before the hour to level the score it was still either teams match.  The match ended with a red card and the hosts scoring a try to bring the final score to 17 - 10.

With only 3 minutes on the clock Albion went behind after giving away a penalty when they were judged to be off-side. Twenty minutes later the scores were level when Tracy Corby slotted a penalty again for an offside decision.  

The Albion try came in the 34th minute when a penalty in the hosts 22 was kicked for touch before a further infringement gave Georgie Rozzario to take a tap penalty and after the maul was formed the pack went over the line with Rachel Tucker falling on the ball to score her third try for Albion. The conversion was kicked by Tracy to bring her season points total to 29 points.

The 58th minute saw Old Albanian Saints come back to level scores with a converted try. Terry Cormack was shown a straight red in the 72nd minute after a high tackle and will have to wait to see what sanction the RFU will be laying down. With the extra player on the pitch OAS made it count and ran in a backs try in the 76th minute.

Albion had the majority of the possession and territory but they could not make it across the line for the second try which would have made the match certain.

Number 8 Livy Thomas was awarded the players player of the match with 2nd row Sarah Curtis being awarded the coaches player for her determination and the way she carried the ball.

Tristian Foster, head coach, said "It was a game that was within our capabilities and reach. We will be looking at team cohesion during the week so that we can perform better as a team ready for our next Premiership II match in two weeks time."

The Development team Plymouth Barracudas play a Royal Navy side at Keyham Park on Wednesday at 7:30.
