Fleet are Gravesham's team

Gravesend & Northfleet FC have made representations to various relevant parties to ensure the full name of the football club continues to be used. Brian Kilcullen, Chairman, stated "increasingly we have seen it shortened to 'Gravesend & N' and now we are even seeing just 'Gravesend'. We are very proud of a name that goes back to 1946. We are also proud that in addition to both Gravesend and Northfleet we also represent the rest of the Borough of Gravesham. We hope to continue to be a club that the Borough can be proud of and call its own". He added "we have made contact with several parties and the media to ask that they ensure the full name is used".
