Robbie Keane is set to join Everton in January

It has been linked from various media sources that Everton have secured the services of Keane for the next transfer window. Its believed that a deal could not be rushed through in time for the transfer deadline, and a deal has been set up to sign Robbie in January's transfer window.

Robbie Keane has been linked to Everton for some time now and with the recent sale of Kanoute it was believed that Spurs would not sell the talented but out of favour forward. However, the first team striker Defoe has not clicked with Robbie upfront and has now fallen to third choice striker behind Mido.

The purchase of Keane in January, along with Da Silva, could give the squad a welcomed boost, after what some believe is going to be a hard up hill struggle with playing more games than last season, in the run up to the new year.

The proven goalscorer would also ease the pressure off Bent, Beattie and young Vaughan (who is to be given more games this season) and perhaps can bring out the best in Beattie....we can only hope.
