Aston Villa team news: Striker Milan Baros picked up a hamstring injury against Chelsea in mid-week and will face a late fitness test. Luke Moore, Juan Pablo Angel and Kevin Phillips are battling it out for a place in attack. Jlloyd Samual is set to continue at left-back with Wilfred Bouma still sidelined by a knee problem.
Middlesbrough team news: Steve McClaren has no new injury problems and George Boateng could return to face his former club after a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Ugo Ehiogu will not return to the team however, as he has not yet recovered from his hamstring problem.
History of this fixture: The two sides have met 130 times with Villa winning 61, Boro winning 39 and the remaining 30 ending as draws. The corresponding fixture earlier in the season ended 3-2 to Boro and last season's clash at the Riverside saw the hosts run out 3-0 winners.
